Overview

This contract-based Finance Graduate opportunity is designed for students and recent graduates who want to gain practical workplace experience in finance, accounting, and supply chain processes. The programme provides hands-on exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and audit support within a professional environment.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to support the Finance Department in managing financial records, processing transactions, maintaining compliance, and assisting with reporting and audit activities while developing practical finance skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in compiling financial statements and reports
• Perform accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable processes
• Manage cash flow monitoring and maintain financial records
• Analyse reconciliations and financial data
• Manage assets and liabilities
• Verify supporting documents for invoices
• Process invoices and payments on time
• Create purchase orders
• Assist with supply chain management processes
• Compile weekly reports on invoice processing
• Support audit activities by preparing schedules and gathering documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
• Undertake special finance-related projects as assigned
• Participate in training sessions and mentorship programmes
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date filing system
• Manage finance-related queries
• Perform data capturing and other administrative duties

Minimum Requirements

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (minimum NQF Level 4)
• National Diploma or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6) in Finance or Commerce
