Purpose

To provide final-year students with real-world consulting experience, developing analytical, strategic, and commercial skills while contributing to meaningful client projects and preparing for a potential career at Simon-Kucher.

Importance

The internship serves as the main route to recruit entry-level Consultants to Simon-Kucher’s Johannesburg office. Successful interns gain a strong foundation in commercial strategy consulting and have the opportunity to continue their careers with the firm from January 2026 onwards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as a valued member of a project team from day one
• Contribute to analysis and problem-solving for client projects
• Apply creative problem-solving and strategic thinking
• Execute comprehensive data analysis and turn insights into actionable recommendations
• Develop solutions and recommendations for clients alongside experienced Consultants, Managers, Directors, and Partners

Eligibility / Profile

• Final-year students with strong academic results, ideally in business, finance, engineering, or science
• Expected to graduate within 2026
• Strong analytical and communication skills with initiative and critical thinking
• Team player with proven collaboration skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Strong interest in commercial strategy and a fast-paced, commercially agile environment
