Overview
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is the payments consulting arm of Visa, with a global team of ~600 consultants and data scientists. VCA provides consulting and analytics services across strategy, product, portfolio management, risk, digital, and more. The Data Science team specializes in statistics, advanced analytics, and machine learning, leveraging insights from VisaNet, one of the largest payment networks in the world. This internship offers exposure to consulting projects across multiple regions and VCA focus areas.
Purpose
The internship provides students with practical experience in consulting and analytics by supporting project delivery, contributing to data-driven insights, and participating in client engagements. Participants gain hands-on experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation while developing professional skills in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Importance
This internship accelerates career growth by giving participants exposure to cross-disciplinary teams, international reporting standards, and the full consulting lifecycle. It also serves as a pathway to potential full-time roles within VCA.
Focus Areas / Key Responsibilities
- Collect required data and conduct research to support project deliverables.
- Perform data analysis using internal and external sources.
- Develop insights from data analyses to support recommendations.
- Create project deliverables including slides, Excel models, and reports.
- Assist project team members in hypothesis development and conclusions.
- Support senior team members in presenting recommendations to clients.
- Contribute to white papers, internal research, and client proposals as needed.
Minimum Requirements / Eligibility
- Current student pursuing a bachelorβs or masterβs degree, graduating by December 2026.
- Available for a 3-month internship (June 2026 to August 2026).
- Available to join a full-time role by January 2027.
- Academic background in Economics, Business, Finance, IT/MIS, or Engineering.
- Excellent academic record.
- Strong analytical capabilities and business case solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong collaboration skills and effective communication with diverse teams.
- Self-confident, hands-on, and able to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
